Two teenage girls are set to appear in court after two police community support officers (PCSO) were assaulted in Harrogate.

The incident happened on April 1 when two PCSOs from the Harrogate's Neighbourhood Policing Team attended McDonald's on Cambridge Street following reports that a group of teenagers had entered the restaurant, despite the group already being banned and given a Dispersal Notice.

The group refused to leave when asked by the PCSOs and an altercation took place.
